Finance Controller and Social Activity Lead – Farmers' Welfare

Neha Singh is a distinguished finance expert with over 15 years of experience in finance, administration, procurement, grants, and budgeting. She has worked with prestigious organizations such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), the CDC Atlanta project at the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), the UEE Mission under the Directorate of Education, and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Neha has extensive experience in agricultural development, crop improvement, water and land management, livestock management, climate change adaptation, and socio-economic policy research in dry areas. Her work has significantly contributed to improving the lives of small and marginal farmers.

Her educational qualifications include a Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, New Delhi, a B.Com (Honors) from Delhi University, and a Diploma in International Business from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University.

Financial Management

  • Manages all financial transactions of the NGO.
  • Oversees the annual budget planning and execution.
  • Develops and implements long-term financial strategies.
  • Assesses funding sources and develops strategies for funding needs.

Grant and Funding Management

  • Prepares proposals to secure grants from government and private organizations.
  • Monitors the proper use of received grants and funds.
  • Ensures financial reporting and compliance with funding agencies and donors.

Financial Transparency and Compliance

  • Promotes financial transparency and ensures the proper use of funds.
  • Complies with all legal and financial regulations related to the NGO.
  • Manages documentation and processes for CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) funding.

Financial Education and Empowerment

  • Spreads financial awareness among rural and farmer communities.
  • Trains farmers in financial management skills and better economic decision-making.

Budget Allocation and Monitoring

  • Allocates and monitors the use of the budget for various projects and programs.
  • Develops an effective system to track expenses.
  • Analyzes project budgets and takes corrective actions.

Accounting and Auditing

  • Regularly manages the NGO's accounts and prepares for the audit process.
  • Maintains financial records in accordance with international financial standards.
  • Facilitates internal and external audits smoothly.

Fundraising

  • Identifies new funding opportunities.
  • Secures support from corporate, government, and private sectors for social activities and projects.
  • Organizes fundraising events and campaigns.

Sustainable Projects Funding and Financial Planning

  • Develops special funding models for agricultural and climate change adaptation projects.
  • Provides financial assistance for Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and women’s empowerment programs.
